For over 80 years, the oldest pipe band in Canberra has been enchanting audiences with their rich heritage and vibrant Scottish tradition. Dating back to 1937, this iconic ensemble is synonymous with Canberra’s cultural legacy, making it an indispensable part of the city’s folklore. From pulsating tunes to mesmerizing performances, this band never fails to enthral its listeners with the soulful sound of authentic Scottish music.

The band performs at local events and competitions, as well as international events such as the World Pipe Band Championships. With members ranging from young beginners to seasoned performers, the band has a thriving and inclusive culture that celebrates Scottish traditions and music.
 
The band is competitive fielding both a grade 4 and a grade 3 band at competition across Australia, the Asia Pacific and Scotland.

    Where to find us

    The band’s practice venue is Taylor Primary School on Marconi Crescent in Kambah.

    The band practices on Thursday nights. The practice time depends on the time of year with practices starting between 7 and 7:30pm. For more information please contact the band.

    The Canberra Highland Society & Burns Club Pipe Band is an integral part of the Canberra Highland Society & Burns Club.

    The Club is located at Kett Street, Kambah ACT 2902.
