2010 Brisbane

The Band travelled to Brisbane yesterday for the Australian Pipe Band Championships.
Group check in at 7:00 for a direct 8:55 flight.
The gremlins struck and the flight was delayed due to unscheduled maintenance. The group was moved to a flight via Sydney. Our new noon flight in Sydney had passenger problems and we were in the air at 1pm.
A brief bus ride into the city & check in at Oaks Festival Towers.

WILL YE NO COME BACK AGAIN

A bit of sad news to add to this Newsletter … Colin Marks and his family will be leaving – the day after the Christmas Party (Colin put a lot of thought into their departure date) to return to Ireland for Colin’s next posting.
It has been a real pleasure for the Band to have Colin, Sarah, Jessie and Matthew with us over the last two years and we wish them every happiness and success in their new home.
